The New York Press, the music paper that once named Go Go as " the shitty little label that no one cares about", chose the Figgs' latest release as one of the best of 1998. Despite this paper's apparent dislike for Go Go New York Press heaps praise on the Figgs " Couldn't Get High" in a December 98 article calling the record one of the best of '98!
1/29/99 Absolute a Go Go signs exclusive licensing deal for Ultrasound
Absolute a Go Go is pleased to announce the completion of an exclusive licensing deal with Nude records UK to release Ultrasound's first EP in the US and Canada. The EP originally entitled "Five songs for Europe" will be renamed "Mayflower" and released in April. Utlrasound is one of the most controversial and best selling bands of the current UK crop of post Oasis bands. The "Mayflower" Ep will contain the top 30 UK single "Stay Young" and four other tracks previously unavailable in the UK or US.
