Absolute a Go Go is pleased to announce the first US release of the British sensation Ultrasound. Repeatedly gracing the cover of the NME and other music magazines Ultrasound have created a stir, then a buzz and now a roar in England as there first single flew into the top 30. Recently asked to model at the Red or Dead fashion show, Lead singer Tiny stopped the show by lifting his dress to display the word unique scrawled on his belly. Not to be upstaged, other members of the band wandered through the audience in the buff. This landed them on the cover of the largest London daily, The Independent. Their appearances at Glastonbury and Redding have caused the concert draws to boom. NME says of Ultrasound in one of their cover features that they are " ........(a) reminder of the potency, beauty and glory of music". Melody Maker hailed them as " ...forerunners of a new breed....(they) have their own unique prog rock influenced vision which sets them apart from the crowd."
Fronted by the buxom Tiny ( Andrew Woods) on vocals Ultrasound set a new mark for the London sound. Mayflower contains "Stay Young", their first top 30 single, as well as four other classics. Completely unavailable in the US this EP preshadows their upcoming full length Sony release. With one of the most active press and radio profiles of 1998 and a new full length release hitting the London streets in April Ultrasound are set to land on US shores with Mayflower.
